Anatomy Foundation
A focused, anatomy-only course for clinicians who want to understand the face the way it actually behaves under the needle — layer by layer, vessel by vessel, plane by plane.

Anatomy is not a chapter. It is the entire textbook.
Anatomy of the Face – Foundation is the prerequisite for every clinical course at LVATE Academy. Before a single product is chosen or a single needle is placed, the practitioner must be able to mentally reconstruct the layered architecture of the face: skin, subcutis, SMAS and superficial fascia, the deep fat compartments, the retaining ligaments, and the vascular and neural structures that travel between them. This course delivers that foundation systematically, region by region, with the clinical relevance of each anatomical detail made explicit.
The layer concept
Every region of the face is built from layers — the thickness, mobility, and vascular content of each layer change as you move from forehead to neck. Learn to recognise these transitions and to anticipate them at the injection site.
Facial fat compartments
Superficial and deep fat compartments age differently and respond differently to volume restoration. Understand which compartments deflate, which descend, and which should never be augmented.
Vascular anatomy
The arteries are not abstractions on a textbook diagram — they are the structures that determine whether an injection is safe. The course covers their typical course, common variants, and the danger zones every injector must know.
Retaining ligaments and SMAS
The ligaments and the superficial musculoaponeurotic system define the face’s mobile and fixed zones. Their anatomy is the basis for understanding both ageing and surgical and non-surgical correction.
Clinical translation
Every anatomical concept is taught with its direct clinical application — the indication it explains, the technique it justifies, the complication it prevents.
What you take away
Anatomy you can apply, not anatomy you memorise
This course is built for clinicians who already know that surface landmarks are not enough. The goal is not to recite structures — it is to develop the mental three-dimensional model of the face that allows safe, reproducible, and indication-driven treatment planning.
A working three-dimensional model
Leave with the ability to visualise the layered anatomy beneath any point on the face, and to predict what your needle or cannula will encounter at each depth.
A vascular safety map
Internalise the danger zones of the upper, middle, and lower face — including the glabella, nasal dorsum, infraorbital region, and nasolabial fold — and the technique adjustments each one demands.
A foundation for every advanced course
Anatomy of the Face – Foundation is the structural basis on which Filler Foundation, Collagen Stimulation Foundation, and all advanced LVATE Academy modules are built.
