LVATE Academy grew out of a decade of research and teaching by Dr. Dr. Konstantin Frank — whose work has shaped the modern understanding of facial anatomy.

We teach physicians already practising in aesthetic medicine, and those just beginning. The curriculum is progressive: from first principles of the face, through the confident placement of a first syringe, to the advanced, layered techniques that separate a careful practitioner from an exceptional one.

The focus is optimization, not transformation. We believe good aesthetic medicine begins with respect — for the face in front of you, for the science behind it, and for the time it takes to learn both.

Board certified plastic surgeon
Dr. Dr. Konstantin Frank is a board-certified plastic surgeon and one of the leading educators in aesthetic medicine internationally. Based in Munich, he combines an active clinical practice with an extensive academic profile, having authored more than 200 peer-reviewed publications and delivered more than 450 invited lectures at congresses and training events worldwide. Widely regarded as a leading anatomist of the face, his work focuses on the translation of layered anatomical understanding into safe, reproducible injection and surgical techniques. Through LVATE Academy and his collaborations with internationally renowned faculty, Dr. Frank continues to shape the next generation of aesthetic practitioners.

Dr. Victoria Hoffmeister is a board-certified plastic and aesthetic surgeon and one of the most distinguished international educators in minimally invasive facial rejuvenation, with a particular expertise in collagen-stimulating treatments. After her medical studies and doctorate at the Medizinische Hochschule Hannover, she trained at leading clinics in Hannover, Krefeld and Munich. Today she practises with LVATE Face Aesthetics and is a globally sought-after trainer, mentoring physicians worldwide in advanced biostimulator, filler and neurotoxin techniques. Renowned for her exceptional artistic eye, her warmth, empathy and deeply human approach to patient care set her apart as a true ambassador of natural aesthetic medicine.

Board certified maxillofacial and oral surgeon
Dr. Dr. Henrik Holtmann is a dually qualified specialist in oral and maxillofacial surgery, holding doctorates in both medicine and dentistry. Based in Düsseldorf, he combines an active surgical and aesthetic practice with an extensive academic profile as senior physician, longstanding university lecturer, and editor of several Elsevier textbooks, including the BASICS series on maxillofacial and plastic facial surgery as well as the recently launched DENTICS series. As a certified member of the DGBT and faculty member of LVATE Academy, Dr. Holtmann is internationally recognised for his expertise in craniofacial anatomy, minimally invasive aesthetic procedures, and the academic education of the next generation of physicians.

Anne Guertler

Board Certified Dermatologist
PD Dr. Anne Guertler is a board-certified dermatologist and one of the leading academic voices in laser medicine and holistic skin health. She combines an extensive clinical and research portfolio with internationally recognised expertise in non-ablative and fractional laser therapy, scar treatment, and the management of inflammatory facial dermatoses such as acne and rosacea. Her habilitation work on the influence of diet, exposome factors and lifestyle on skin health bridges aesthetic dermatology with nutritional medicine. As a sought-after speaker, author and faculty member of LVATE Academy, she shapes contemporary concepts of medical skin health and wellbeing.

Lukas Kohler

Board Certified Plastic Surgeon
Dr. Lukas H. Kohler is a board-certified plastic and aesthetic surgeon and the founder and Medical Director of LVATE Face Aesthetics in Munich and Düsseldorf. Trained at the Meoclinic Berlin, University Hospital Leipzig and LMU Munich, he was distinguished during his residency with the ICOPLAST Award of Excellence, a DGPRAEC travel scholarship and an ISAPS Fellowship. Today, he is widely regarded as an expert of minimally invasive, holistic facial rejuvenation, combining injectables, energy-based devices and regenerative medicine within a unique boutique concept. As a visionary, he is inspiring a new generation of aesthetic physicians.

Board certified ENT Surgeon
Dr. Julia Holtmann is a board-certified specialist in otorhinolaryngology with a clinical focus on plastic and aesthetic surgery of the head and neck region. Together with Dr. Dr. Henrik Holtmann, she co-leads the LVATE Düsseldorf medical team and is recognised as a leading voice in minimally invasive facial aesthetics. As a member of the DGBT and certified laser safety officer, she shares her expertise with physician colleagues in continuing education courses and faculty roles within LVATE Academy. Her practice is defined by an empathetic, deeply personal approach and a holistic philosophy that integrates aesthetic medicine with nutritional medicine, longevity and skin health.

Dr. Surina Frey

Board Certified Dermatologist
Dr. Surina Frey is a board certified dermatologist and an active member of one of Germany’s most productive academic dermatology groups. Her clinical and scientific work spans inflammatory skin diseases, atopic dermatitis, contact and irritant dermatitis, and modern molecular and multi-omics approaches to complex cutaneous disorders. Co-author of numerous peer-reviewed publications in leading international journals, she combines a rigorous evidence-based mindset with a refined sense for aesthetic dermatology and skin health. As a faculty member of LVATE Academy, Dr. Frey conveys her academic and clinical expertise to colleagues with clarity, warmth and exceptional commitment to patient-centred care.
